Terms of Service

Please read these terms carefully before using the adoptoday platform.

Last updated: January 1, 2025

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using the adoptoday platform, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use our services.

2. What adoptoday is — and is not

adoptoday is a technology-enabled adoption facilitation service. We are not a law firm and do not provide legal advice. We are not an adoption agency. We facilitate coordination of vetting, matching, and legal process navigation, and connect users with licensed attorneys and social workers who provide professional services independently.

3. Eligibility

You must be 18 years or older to create an account. By creating an account, you represent that all information you provide is truthful and accurate. Providing false information is grounds for immediate termination and may be reported to applicable authorities.

4. User obligations

You agree to: maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials; provide accurate, complete, and current information; not use the platform to facilitate illegal activity; not contact other users outside the platform in unauthorized ways; comply with all applicable laws.

5. Fees and payments

Creating a profile and completing initial vetting is free. Our platform fee of $2,500 is charged at matching for hopeful parents. The platform is free for child bearers. Fees are non-refundable once matching has been initiated, except as required by applicable law.

6. No guarantees

adoptoday cannot guarantee a successful adoption or surrogacy outcome, a specific timeline, a specific match, or that a match will proceed to completion.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, adoptoday's liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of California. Disputes are subject to binding arbitration under the American Arbitration Association rules.
