adoptoday, Inc. is a licensed adoption facilitation platform operating in the United States. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information about you when you use our website and services.
We collect information you provide directly, including account registration details (name, email, phone, state), profile information (household composition, lifestyle preferences), background check authorization, communications through our platform, and documents you upload. We also collect certain information automatically (IP addresses, browser type, session data) for security and analytics.
We use your information to create and maintain your account, facilitate matching between hopeful parents and child bearers, coordinate vetting and legal processes, connect you with attorneys and counselors, comply with applicable law, and improve our platform.
We do not sell your personal information. We share your information only: with your explicit consent; with service providers (attorneys, home study providers, background check services) who need it to provide services on your behalf; as required by law; and as required by state adoption law.
We implement industry-standard security measures including AES-256 encryption at rest, TLS in transit, and role-based access controls. We are HIPAA-compliant for medical information. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.

We retain your information for as long as your account is active and as required by law. Adoption records may be retained for extended periods as required by state law.
